Alligator River Marina to Eastham Creek (near Pamlico River)
So far we have used marinas for overnight stays. Today we dropped the hook in Eastham Creek off of the ICW. Actually the ICW passes through Goose Creek off of the Pamlico River before entering a canal. Our anchorage in Eastham Creek was protected from the North, East and South. This picture was taken looking to the sun setting over Goose Creek.
We all long for evenings like this. The temperature was mild - we were comfortable in long sleeve cotton shirts - as we cooked sausages on the grill and eventually enjoyed a glass of wine with dinner looking forward to our short cruise into Beaufort NC in the morning. .
