Adventures in Marathon, FL
Monday February 18th, 2008
We
enjoyed several weather systems come through today. After a clear morning
a little thunderstorm drifted through. Then, later in the afternoon it
really rained hard for several hours. Then a beautiful evening and star
filled night.

After a great pancake breakfast we sat out in the dinghy to find the dinghy dock maintained by the West Marine store. It's in a marina closer to the Boot Key Bridge Joe was looking for longer metric bolts to mount the navigation lights to the dinghy. The longest available - about 1 inch - allowed mounting the all around white light to the dinghy engine. Still looking for a longer M6 to mount the red/green light to the bow.
There
were several interesting structures in the boat storage area, two being used as
garages. Yes there are practical uses for a sail boat!
